Baggy bolero
This bolero was originally made just a couple of days before one of our friend´s wedding. It works well as a party bolero, but is lovely with jeans as well.

Cast on 54 stitches on a 7 mm needle, but start knitting with US 8 needles. You avoid casting on too tight by using larger needles to cast on with.
Start knitting a rib, K1, P1 in the round
When the rib is 1.6", switch to the 7 mm needles. Change the rib to K2, P2. At the same time increase one stitch for every stitch on the first round = 108 stitches.
Continue to k2, P2 for another for 4.3". Increase one stitch for every stitch again = 216 stitches.
K2, P2 for another 5.9"
Cast off pretty tight.
Knit two identical pieces.
Assemble the pieces in the back. We sewed the pieces together over about 12" in the back.
You might want to tighten the seam a bit. Your choice.
