Yarn
Pickles Alpaca Wool or Pickles Organic Cotton, thin
550 (700) g
Pickles Alpaca Wool is discontinued. Use Pickles Thick Alpaca 800 (1100) g or Abuelita Worsted 500 (600) g instead.
Needles
DP and large circular needles US 10 and large circular needles US 11
Gauge for 4”
12 stitches pattern/
14 stitches stocinette US 10.
Chest measurements
about 22.8 (26)”

Body piece
Cast on 168 stitches on circular needles US 10.
Knit 6 rounds.
Purl 1 round.
Knit 6 rounds.
This makes an edge you can fold and weave in later. We left it as we thought it looked nicer.
Switch to US 11 needles and start knitting the wave-stitch. It´s´very important that your yarn is fairly loose when you K2tog in the pattern below. Make sure to pull the yarn out properly before doing the knit stitch.
Round 1:
*K2tog, but don´t slip the stitches off the needle, knit the first stitch and slip the stitches. K1*. Repeat from * to *.
Round 2 and 4:
Knit
Round 3:
*K1, K2tog, but don´t slip the stitches off the needle, knit the first stitch and slip the stitches*. Repeat from * to *.
Repeat these rounds until your work is 26”. You should just have finished round 3 before continuing. If you´re tall you might wanna knit a bit longer.
Knit the front and back piece seperately from here on = 84) stitches on each piece.
Turn and purl one row. Knit back and forth from here on.
Row 1:
K1, K2tog, but don´t slip the stitches off the needle, knit the first stitch and slip the stitches.
Row 2 and 4:
Purl
Row 3:
K2tog, but don´t slip the stitches off the needle, knit the first stitch and slip the stitches. K1
Stop when the work is 30.3”. Knit 3 rows in stockinette and place the stitches on some spare needles.
Knit the back piece:
Purl 1 row (start from the same direction as you did on the front piece).
Knit like on the front piece, but switch rows 1 and 3.
Use the kitcheners stitch to weave the 28 stitches in each side together.
Place the rest of the stitches on the same circular needles. Pick up 2 stitches in each side of the neck opening and knit 6 rounds. Cast off.
Sleeves
Pick up 61 stitches around the arm hole.
Place a marker (PM) at the beginning of the round. Decrease 1 stitch on each side of the PM every 1” 11 times in total.
Knit until the sleeve is 11.8”.
Purl 1 round.
Knit 4 rounds. Cast off.
If you want neat edges, fold along the purled round around the sleeves and at the beginning of the body piece and assemble.
