A light cotton baby blanket is perfect for a summer baby. This one is knitted in a light version of the sea foam pattern, wich makes it airy, stretchy and perfect for wrapping your baby. The blanket is knitted in Pickles Organic Cotton DK, wich is perfect for this tecnique, as it is spun from one thick and one very tin ply. Where other yarns would split in the loosely knitted parts, this yarn holds itself together and make the waves look fantastic!

Needles
US 8 20" or longer circular needle

Yarn
300 g Pickles Organic Cotton DK. We´ve put together eight different yarn kits to make this blanket, and needle to go with it.

Gauge
4" = 14 stitches

Pattern
Cast on 96 stitches. Repeat the following 8 rows until you are out of yarn. We made an irregular stripe pattern, but it will look good in one colour too.

Row 1: Knit
Row 2: Knit
Row 3: K6 *1 YO, K1, 2 YO´s, K1, 3 YO´s, K1, 2 YO´s, K1, 1 YO, k6*
Row 4: Knit, dropping the YO´s off the needle.
Switch colour if you like stripes
Row 5: Knit
Row 6: Knit
Row 7: K1 *1 YO, K1, 2 YO´s, K1, 3 YO´s, K1, 2 YO´s, K1, 1 YO, K6* end last repeat K1 instead of 6.
Row 8: Knit, dropping the YO´s off the needle.
