Hello from North Vancouver,BC Canada

I must say I like your little Pickles Fat & Happy Funnel Cake Afghan.. This would be perfect and as you said you knitted over 2 evenings..
That is marvellous !! But now I need to find where to buy this Yarn? Forgive me but I have not seen or heard of this beautiful thick yarn?

Do you know if we can buy here in Vancouver,BC Canada? And if so, can you please tell me who may have this Yarn " Pickes Fat & Happy" ?

I will check for your response on your Website.. Thank you so much and I look forward to browsing through your other yarns and patterns.

Am I correct that this funnel cake afghan would require two of your $90 super chunky/bulky skeins of yarn to complete?

Yes;)

In the instructions, the needle size is listed as"long circular - US 36." I'm assuming that US 36 refers to the length in inches. But could you tell me what size the needle is. By looking at the finished project it must be 10mm or larger.

Lee: I used a US 35 (20mm in English metric) 40" cord. Should work for you.

I am not sure if I understand this pattern completely. You are using circular needles. Normally these are used for tubular things like a cowl. I suppose you don't connect the last cast on to the first to prevent your work becoming tubular. So I guess you knit back and forth with turning your work in between, like you would do with two seperate needles?

Ypou knit back and forth. You wouldn´t be able to fit all the stitches onto straight needles, that´s why we used circular. Sorry for beeing unclear ;)

Hi there. I can't see this pattern listed in the Ravelry database so projects can't be linked to it. Am I looking in the wrong place? (I can see all the other Pickles patterns, eg Puff Daddy, Waffel Hat etc (151 designs in total).

We´ll look into it;)

Hi Anna and Heidi

Thanks for this pattern! I love it.

I made a red blanket: http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Pennalicious/easy-blanket

and now all my friends want to make blankets too. We're coming up to autumn in Sydney so the timing is perfect.

Your site is addictive ... I really want to make a Starstruck shawl next.

Cheers

Penny

in our shop :)

I find that 98 dollars a skein is tooooo much for my retired pocketbook. Can you suggest something less expensive.

Hi, sorry we don´t have any alternative in that weight. The skeins are 500 g :)

hello
would it work if i used 2 strands of medium or worsted weight yarn? i am on disability and cannot afford the yarn in the pattern, but i really love the blanket and your website.
thank you

januar 10, 2013 | Unregistered Commenterorpha@live.com

You would need 3 strands of worsted yarn at least for this gauge :)

I am confused with this pattern and instructions. If I continue rows with always K1, P1 I will have just vertical lines of K1 P1. If I start row two with P1 K1 then I would be doing seed stitch. Should the pattern state to do two row of K1 P1 then on row three and four do P1, K1 then switch to the first two rows and alternate rows one and two with rows three and four?

Thanks,
Pat

No, as there is an uneven number of s it will be moss stitch :)
