A very good looking, practical and warm cardigan/coat. The yarn comes in the prettiest colours, and the striping really makes the shades come out in a gorgeous way.

On the next right side row work like this:
Knit 28 s, bind off 4 s, knit 64 s, bind off 4 s, knit the rest of the row. You now have 120 s.
Cast on 38 s on double pointed needles US 6. Check the arm lenght on your size and measure down the body to see what colour to start with (you want to end on the same place in the stripes when joining the pieces later). Work ribbing in the round, K1, P1 for 2”. Change to US 7 needles and continue in stockinette. Work stripes. Increase on each side of two middle masks under the arm every 1.75” 7 times alltogether. = 52 s. Knit until the arm measures 13.5”. (end on the same colour row as you did on the body) Bind off 4 s under the middle arm.
Line up all the parts on to the same needle and place markers (MM) in the gaps between all the parts (4 markers). You now have 216 s.
Start on a right side row and repeat the following decrease rows 19 times alltogether:
Knit until 3 s is left before the first MM, SSK. K2s, K2tog*. Repeat from * till * for all the next markers. Purl back. You now have 64 s.
Change back to US 6 needles and work ribbing for 3.5”. Bind off.
Use US 6 needle and pick up stitches along each side (one side at the time) for front bands, 22 s per 4”. Work ribbing K1, P1. On one of the sides make button holes after about 1.5”. Make them every 2” like this: Work until the last knit stitch where you want the hole (knit the knit stitch) YO, K2tog. Continue in ribbing until the front band measures 3”. Bind off.
