Friendship hair band

Do you remember the friendship bracelets that were super popular a few years ago? We've brushed up on old skills, and made some hari bands using the same technique. We used jersey, to make sure they're stretchy. Nice hair bands, and a super easy Summer project.

What we used
Long strips of jersey, about 1 cm wide
Safety pin

How we did it
Make 3 or more strips of jersey. We used 3, but we're sure it'll be just as nice to use more. Just remember that the more strips, the longer they need to be.
Hold the strips together and tie a knot. If you want fringes, you might want to tie the knot further into the strips than on the picture above. Collect the strips like above so, they're easier to handle.  Attach a safety pin to the knot and pin it into the sofa or the fabric of your pants.

Start to tie, always working from the left to the right. Lay the strip furthest to the left over the next, then push it under and pull it up, firmly. Repeat with the exact same strips one more time. Then move on to the nest strip, still using the one you started with. When you reach the end, you start over with the strip furthest to the left. Keep on working unbtil you've reached the desired length.

Fringes looks nice on the hair band!

If you get tired of the hair band, you can always use it as a bracelet.
