Shrug
Cast on 48 s on small circular needles US 10. Knit ribbing k2, p2 for 6“. Change colour. Knit the first round of the new colour in only knit stitches for a neat result. Continue in ribbing for another inch.

Knit stockinette from now on and make one stitch in each stitch of the first round of stockinette, by knitting twice in each stitch. (Knit in both the front and the back loop of the stitch) (= 96 s) Knit two rounds.

Then repeat the following 9 rounds 2 times:

Round 1: Make one stitch in every 2nd stitch in the same manner as before
( = 144 s)
Round 2 – 7: Knit
Round 8: K2tog, K1
Round 9: Knit

Make 2” of ribbing  before binding off quite tight. Weave in ends.

Head band
Cast on 20 stitches (Use provisional cast on method for a seamless result). Knit about 9.5 “ stockinette back and forth. (Measure halfway around the receivers head for a perfect result)

Then tightly wind the working yarn around the piece a couple of times, before knitting the other half. Assemble with Kitchener stitch or sew together if you find it too complicated. Weave in ends.
