Good as new China

Cut it into pieces, put it in water and stick it to some old China. That´s how easy it is to redesign some old Ikea china. We love Studio Violet´s latest exhibition. Follow this simple DYI instructions on how you can make your own china if you didn´t buy one of their pieces. We think it would make a great present, and it´s a great activity for children on a rainy day. Run over to your cupboard and grab your old china

How we did it
Grab the china hidden in your cupboard.

Cut the foil, put it in water and wait a few seconds until it comes off the thick paper. It doesn´t hurt the foil to stay in water for a while - no stress.

Stick the foil on the china.

Like this perhaps. The foil is easy to move around, no need to make up your mind straight away.

When you´re happy you dry the foil with a papertowel. Make sure to squeeze all the air bubbles out.
Let it dry for 24 hours. Put the china into a cold oven. Heat to 180 decrees Celcius and leave it in there for 30 minutes. Let it cool inside the oven.
Here´s how our china turned out!
