What we used
4 balls Pickles Extra Fine Merino, pale peach, or a bit more if you want to wrap it around your neck twice. We used a little over 4 balls, and ours is 67”.
US 15 circular needles or single pointed needles.

Gauge
9 masker = 4”

Cast on 25 stitches using two strands.
Knit one row.

Keep on by repeating these 6 rows until the scarf has the desired length:

Row 1: * K1, YO, slip 1 (the YO, slip 1 can be done in the same operation) *. Repeat from * to * and finish off with one knit stitch.

Row 2: * YO, slip 1, knit the YO and the slipped stitch from the previous row together*. Repeat from * to * and finish off with a YO and slip stitch.
Row 3: *Knit the YO and the slipped stitch from the previous row together, YO, slip 1*. Repeat from * to * and finish off with one knit stitch.
Row 4: Like row 2
Row 5: *Knit the YO and the slipped stitch from the previous row together, K1*. Repeat from * to *
Row 6: Knit

When you want to cast off, do it after row 5.

What we used

Needles US 10, small circular needle and double pointed needles.

Gauge
16 stitches = 4”
The hat is a size S-M
Using a double strand of the Pickles Extra Fine Merino platina, cast on 64 stitches loosely using the circular US10 needles (you can even cast on using US 15 needles just to make it even and loose).
Knit in the round.

Knit the rib, K2, P2 for about 2”.
Start knitting stockinette, and knit 6 rounds of platina and the 2 rounds of pale peach 5 times in total. Keep on knitting the same striped pattern, but start to decrease like this:
K 6, knit stitch 7 and 8 together. Repeat 8 times to complete the round.
Knit 2 rounds.

K 5, knit stitch 6 and 7 together. Repeat 8 times to complete the round.
Knit 2 rounds.
K 4, knit stitch 5 and 6 together. Repeat 8 times to complete the round.
Knit 1 round.

K 3, knit stitch 4 and 5 together. Repeat 8 times to complete the round.
Knit 1 round.
K 2, knit stitch 3 and 4 together. Repeat 8 times to complete the round.
K 1, knit stitch 2 and 3 together. Repeat 8 times to complete the round.
Knit two and two stitches together.
Use a needle to get the strands through the rest of the stitches and pull through.
Assemble the ends.

If you knit the whole set, you´ll probably get by with the scrap yarn from the hat and the scarf.
Double pointed needles US 10

Gauge
16 stitches = 4”
Using a double strand of Pickles Extra Fine Merino, platina, cast on 24 stitches.
Knit in the round. Knit the rib, K2,P2 until you´ve reached 3.7”.

Start knitting stockinette, and increase 6 stitches evenly along the first round.
Knit a 2 rounds of platina, 2 rounds of pale peach pattern until you have 9 stripes. Then knit the hole for the thumb like this:

K1, cut the strands so you´ve got enough to assemble the ends with. Use a yarn in a contrasting colour and knit 6 stitches. Then start knitting with the original yarn again. Later on, you can pull the contrasting yarn put and get an opening, just like that;)
Keep on with the pattern until the mitten is about 9”. Start decreasing.
Make sure you have 15 stitches on two needles and 15 on the other two. You´ll knit two together at the beginning and the end of each of these 15 stitches to make a v-shape.

K2tog, knit until two of the 15 stitches remain, ssk the two stitches. Repeat this on the other side.
K 1 round
Decrease in the same way as before.
K 1 round
Decrease in the same way as before on every round until 6 stitches remain.
Put the strands through the remaining stitches an pull through. Assemble the ends.

Make the thumb by slipping a needle into the 6 stitches on the round before and after the contrasting yarn. Pull the yarn out, and the stitches around the opening will be on the two needles. Pick up an extra stitch at each side of the whole.

Make sure you have 7 stitches on each of the two needles (use more needles if you like, but make sure you keep the 7+7 stitches in mind for the decrease later on). Knit until the thumb is 1.6”, then start decreasing like you did for the mitten by knitting the two first and the two last of the 7 stitches together. Repeat every round until 4 stitches remain. Put the strands through the stitches and pull through. Assemble the loose ends.
