Cast on 144 s on circular needle US 9 with one strand each of Abuelita Merino Worsted, MC and Pickles Silk Mohair. Place marker at the beginning of the round and after 72 s to mark the sides of the sweater. Knit ribbing K2, P2 in the round for 1.5”. Switch to circular needles US 10 ½ and continue in stockinette until the piece measures 21.5 (22) “. Bind off 5 s before and after each marker, 10 s in each side. (=124 s) Put aside while knitting the arms.

Arms
Cast on 32 s on DPN US 9. Knit K2 P2 ribbing in the round for 1.5”. Switch to US 10 ½ and continue in stockinette. Make 6 s during the first round of stockinette. Continue until the piece measures 9.5 “. Bind off 10 s under the arm.

Line up all the parts onto the same circular needle. Knit one round in the MC before starting the heart pattern. (see diagram)

Make 4 rows of hearts. Knit 3 rounds in the MC. Switch back to US 9 needles. On the next round *K2tog* all round. (= 100 s) Knit 1.5 “ ribbing, K2 P2 and bind off very very tightly. Sew the underarm seams and weave in ends.
