Lazy buns

We love buns, but they take so long to make. We´ve developed a dough that you don´t have to spend forever on making. Easy and yummy!

Dough for 12 buns
300 ml lukewarm milk
25 g dry yeast
a dash of salt
a dash of cardamom
50 ml sugar
50 g melted butter
about 600 ml flour

Filling
Vanilla cream

Dissolve the yeast in the milk. Mix in the other ingredients.
Rest for 1 hour.

Put you oven on 425. Line a tray with greased paper cups.
Use two spoons to place the dough into the cups.
Fill an icing bag with vanilla cream and squeeze some cream into every bun.
Bake for about 12 minutes.

Cool down and decorate with powdered sugar mixed with water, and dip the bun in shredded coconut.

OMG! I have to make this. Do you perhaps have a recipe for the vanilla cream. Thank you for a great blog by the way.

Actually, it´s custard. We call it vanilla cream in norway ;)

Just one more question about the vanilla cream please. Is it thick like a pastry cream or more like a soft eggy custard? These buns look fantastic, as do your other recipes...my family loves it when I find new recipes. Oh, and thank you for the knitting designs as well!
