The sweater is knitted in one piece, top-down with a unusual ragland increase.
Cast on 92 stitches tightly on the shortest circular needles, US 6. Purl 1 round
Place marker (PM) at the beginning of the round and after 4 s. Knit 42 s, PM, K4, PM.

The 4 s between the markers in each side marks where the shoulders and sleeves will be knitted. The s between these markers should ALWAYS be knitted in garter stitch.
The other s should ALWAYS be knitted in stockinette.

You shape the sweater by first increasing on the outside of the 4 s in each side. In this way you´ll make enough s for the front and back pieces before starting to increase on the inside of the markers to make stitches for the sleeves.

Increase for front and back piece, on the OUTSIDE of the 4 s in each side:
Round 1 (preliminary round):
k4 in garter stitch, YO right after the marker, knit until the next marker, YO right before the marker, k4 in garter stitch, YO right after the marker, knit until the marker at the end of teh round, YO right before the marker.

Round 2:
K4 in garter stitch, YO after the marker, knit the YO (from the round before) as if you were to purl, knit until you reach the YO (from the round before) just before the next marker, knit it as if you were to purl, YO before the marker, k4 in garter stitch, YO after the marker, knit the YO (from the round before) as if you were to purl, knit until you reach the YO (from the round before) just before the next marker, knit it as if you were to purl, YO before the marker,

Repeat round 2 only 23 times in total = 188 s.

Increase for sleeves, on the INSIDE of the 4 s:
Round 1 (preliminary round):
Knit garter stitches between the markers in the sides, and stockinette on the front and back pieces. Knit all YO from the previous round as if you were to purl

Round 2:
Increase on the inside of the markers for the sleeves, and make sure to knit all new s in garter stitch.
Increase 1 s (Make 1 right) after the marker, knit garter stitch until the next marker, increase 1 s (make 1 left) before the marker, knit until the next marker, increase 1 s (make 1 right) after the marker, knit garter stitch until the next marker, increase 1 s (make 1 left) before the marker, knit until the end of the round)

Knit 2 rounds (remember garter stitches between the markers, for the new stitches as well) with no increases.

Repeat round 2 followed by 2 rounds of no increase 5 times in total (including the first round)

Repeat round 2 followed by 1 round of no increase 17 times in total = 48 s for each sleeve.

Start knitting the front and back pieces in one piece = 180 s. Place the s for the sleeves on a
two threads.

Switch to US 4 when the piece is about 19.3” from the beginning. Decrease 14 s evenly on the next round.
Knit for 1.6” before casting off pretty firmly to shape the garment.

Sleeves
Knit the sleeves in garter stitch back and forth until they are about 8.3”. Make sure to start knitting so the ridges become continous. Cast off. Make another sleeve and assemble from the wrong side.
