What you need
Red, blue and white yarn, we used cotton yarn suitable for a US needle 6/UK 8
Crochet needle US 6/UK 8
Safety pin

VI would recommend choosing a smaller needle and yarn to go with it, as our brooches turned out pretty big..

How we did it

The puff brooch

Row 1:
Make four stitches in a chain using the blue yarn. Make a ring by putting the hook into the first stitch and close it with a slipstitch.
Make one chain stitch.

Row 2:
Make four puffs with the ring as the center.
* yarn over hook, put the hook into the ring, yarn over hook, pull hook back up*
Repeat from * to * four more times. Yarn over hook, pull through all the loops, yarn over hook pull through the two remaining loops.

That´s your first puff. Make a chain stitch and start the next puff. You need three more. Always make a chain stitch between each puff. When you have four puffs, you finish off with a chain stitch and close the ring of puffs with a slipstitch in the first stitch of the row.

Row 3:
Change to the white yarn. Make a chain stitch.

Crochet two puffs into each whole in the previous row. You´ll make eight puffs in total on this row.
Always make a chain stitch between each puff. Close the ring in the same manner as before.

Row 4:
Change to the red yarn. Make a chain stitch.

Crochet two puffs into each whole in the previous row. You´ll make 16 puffs in total on this row.
This time DON`T make a chain stitch between each puff. Close the ring in the same manner as before.
