Natural winter kit
Nice kit in two of Abuelitas natural colours. The neckwarmer is a Pillar Openwork stitch pattern, but since it is knitted in the round, the Yo´s make it bias. We love the effect! Both are an easy knit and perfect christmas present projects.

Abuelita Merino Worsted, 300 g
We used 100 g nature and 200 g dark nature
Needles
Hat: small circular + DPN´s US 8 needles
Neckwarmer: long circular US 13 needles
Gauge
Hat: 17 s = 4"
Neckwarmer: 10 s = 4"

Hat
Cast on 80 stitches small circular needles, US 8. Join in the round and K1, P1 for 3". Continue in stockinette until your piece measures 6".
Then start the decrease rounds:
Round 1: *K 14, K 2 tog* Repeat between * and * until end of the round.
Round 2: Knit
Round 3: *K 13, K 2 tog* Repeat between * and * until end of the round.
Runde 4: Knit
Decrease in the same manner on every 2nd round, with 1 stitch less between the decreases for each decrease round, until you have 2 stitches left between the decreases. (= 15 stitches alltogether on your needles) Change to double pointed needles when necessary. Gather the last 15 stitches and sew/weave in the ends.
Neckwarmer
Cast on 120 stitches on long circular needles, US 13. Join in the round and repeat the following two rounds until you are almost out of yarn. (Make the hat first:)
Round 1: Knit
Round 2: *YO, slip one, K 2, pass the slipped stitch over the two knit stitches and off the needle.* Repeat until end of round.
Bind off loosely.
