The lamp is crocheted over a rice paper lamp, aprox 50 cm diameter. You can get them in many different sizes, if you make yours another size make sure the number of stitches you start with can be divided into 3. It is quite elastic, so some variation from this size should not be a problem.
Materials: 12 balls of Drops ICE, 10 mm crochet needle.
Chain 39. First double crochet on each round is replaced by 3 chain stitches.
Round 1: 1 dc in each stitch. Sl st tog.
Round 2: *1dc in each dc 12 times, then 2 dc in next dc, repeat from * around. Sl st tog.
Repeat round 2 with one more dc between increases each round through round 13. (12 rounds of increases)
Round 14. - 18: 1 dc in each dc, Sl st tog.
Round 19-29. Decrease the same way you increased, with one stitch less between decreases each round. Important: You start decreasing in the first two stitches on the round, NOT the last ones, to get it lined up with the increases.
Round 30. *dc 2 tog, repeat from * around. Sl st tog. Finish with a round of single crochet.
