Yoke
Knitted top down, back and forth. It’s important to follow tha gauga closely, as the construction depends on it.
Cast on 36 s on US 4.
Knit two garter ridges, and place markers (PM) on the last row, after 3, 7, and 10 s and when 10, 7 and 3 s remain of the row.

You will now knit GARTER STITCHES over the first and last 3 s, making the front bands. You’ll also knit garter stitches where the shoulder/sleeves are, between marker 2 and 3 and between 4 and 5.All other stitches are to be knitted in STOCKINETTE. Always slip the first s of each row for ncer edges.

Increase on front and back pieces as well as for the wrap-pieces:
Knit until the 1st marker, make 1 s right just after the marker.
**
Knit until the 2nd marker, make 1 s left just before the marker.
Knit until the 3rd marker, make 1 s right just after the marker.
Knit until the 4th marker, make 1 s left just before the marker.
Knit until the 5th marker, make 1 s right just after the marker.
**
Knit until the 6th marker, make 1 s left just before the marker.

Increase on every row, and repeat the whole paragraph on every row from the right side, and just the text between ** and ** on every row from the wrong side (do not increase for the wrap pieces from the wrong side). Do this until you have knitted 8 increase rows in total = 76 s.

Start increasing for sleeves, and knit all the new sleeve s in garter stitch.
On every row from the right side, increase like this:

Knit until the 1st marker, make 1 s right just after the marker.
Knit until the 2nd marker, make 1 s right just after the marker.
Knit until the 3rd marker, make 1 s left just before the marker.
Knit until the 4th marker, make 1 s right just after the marker.
Knit until the 5th marker, make 1 s left just before the marker.
Knit until the 6th marker, make 1 s left just before the marker.
Continue like this until you’ve knitted 12 increase rows in total. Finish after a row from the wrong side = 148 s. Place the sleeve s on some scrap yarn.

The body
Knit back and forth in stockinette over all s for the body, except the front bands that still should be knitted in garter stitch.
On the first row, you’ll make a button hole:
K3, YO, K2tog, knit until 5 s remain of the row, K2tog, YO, K3.
After about 1.6” you’ll repeat this row for another set of button holes.

Decrease 6 s evenly (by knitting 2 together) when the piece is about 8.6".
Knit 3 garter ridges on US 2 1/2 before casting off.

Sleeves
Knit the 27 s back and forth in garter stitch on US 4. Make sure to start from the right direction.
Decrease 2 s evenly when the piece is 4” . Knit 2 garter ridges on US 2 1/2 before casting off.
Sew the buttons NEATLY on (so they’re not visible from the outside) and sew the sleeves from the inside.
