Organic fabric print

Fabric printing cheers you up! It´s fun and it looks great! We had our own little Pickles workshop of fabric printing, and here´s the result. Because we´ve got plenty of organic cotton (mostly American Apparel) garment from a different project, we´ve made a bunch for sale at our brand new Etsy shop Lovepickles! Go get them!

If you wanna make your own, follow these instructions:

What we used
Fabric
Palett fabric paint
Soft roller
Sheet of dense rubber foam or a potato
Glue
Wooden block
Scalpel
Plastic plate, or something to put your paint on to

How we did it
Get the sheet of rubber foam. Cut out a shape. Glue it to the wooden block. Remember that it prints the other way around.
Mix a colour or use a ready-made one. Roll it out using the soft roller, making sure that the roller has an even amount of paint around it.
Roll the pain on to the shape.
Put the wooden block firmly on to the fabric. Make sure not to be shaky! Press it down for a few seconds.
And this is how it turned out. Feel free to repeat the printing without more paint for a worn look. Don´t get to fuzzy, we like the handmade look!

Best of luck! See all the things we made at Lovepickles!
