This basket is a tiny bit smaller than our other baskets, but it has a great hold, and don´t have to be filled completely to stay in shape! Great for fruit, toys or yarn:)

TIP: Make a loop. Hold the loop in shape between thethumb and index finger while crocheting the first round. After the first round, you can pull the end of the yarn as much as you´d like to tighten the loop, and avoid a big hole at the beginning.
Use a marker (some yarn) to mark the beginning of the round. We don´t close each round with a chain stitch, as we thingk it looks much more seamless to just continue crocheting.
1st round:
6 sc into the loop. Tighten.
2ns and 3rd round:
2 sc in every stitch.
4th and 5th round:
*1 sc into the next stitch, 2 sc into the next stitch*
Repeat from * to * until end of round.
6th round:
1 sc in every stitch
7th round:
*1 sc into the next stitch, 2 sc into the next stitch*
Repeat from * to * until end of round.
8th round
Decrease 5 s evenly by jumping over a stitch.
9th round:
Decrease 3 s evenly by jumping over a stitch.
10th round:
1 sc in every stitch
