Four skeins of Abuelita Merino Worsted, Olive
US 10 ½ and US 15 DPN`s, US 19 circular needles.
Increasing as you go. Gauge is not so important, the bolero will fit most.
Cast on 56 stitches on US 10 ½ DPN´s using two strands of yarn. Knit in the round to start with.
Round 1-2: *P 1, K 12, P1* Repeat until end of round.
Round 3: *P 1, Place 4 stitches onto a cable needle and keep in front of your work. K 4, K 4 from cable needle, K 4, P 1* Repeat until end of round.
Round 4-8: *P 1, K 12, P1* Repeat until end of round.
Round 9: *P 1, K 4, Place 4 stitches onto a cable needle and keep in back of your work. K 4, K4 from cable needle, P 1* Repeat until end of round.
Round 10-12: *P 1, K 12, P1* Repeat until end of round.
Repeat all rounds 2 times (=24 rounds)
Switch to US 15 needles, and repeat round 1 - 12 one more time. Then switch to US 19 circular needles and repeat the rounds again. From now on you will be knitting back and forth.
Continue in the same pattern, but since you are now knitting back and forth you need to knit the rounds 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 as follows:
*K 1, P 12, K 1* Repeat until end of round.
The other rows is knitted as before. Repeat all rows 3 times. Then start knitting in the round again. Knit round 1 - 12 one time before you switch to US 15 needles. Knit the same rounds one time and then switch to US 10 ½. Knit round 1 - 12 2 times and cast off.
Pick up 28 stitches around each sleeve and knit the moss stitch for 4 rows. Cast off and weave inn all ends.
