Simple luxury scarf

Materials: NORO kochoran and 12 mm needles.

Garter stitch.

Cast om 3 stitches. Knit one row. On next row: K until one stitch remains on the needle. Make one front. K last stitch. Repeat this row until desired size is achieved. Last row: *K3, M1* Cast off loosely.

This is a free scarf knitting pattern from pickles.no. It was made before we started selling yarn. Please make the scarf as long as you´d like. We don´t offer measurements for this pattern, as it´s more like an instruction for how to make a scarf than a pattern.

do we cast on 3 stitches only?

What does Make one front mean? I am an experienced knitter but never saw instructions like these. There is no indication of the number of stitches are necessary.

I am very confused by this pattern. How does it taper down to match the beginning when you cast on 3 stitches? There istn't any instructions on how wide it should be. Could you please advise me since I would like to make the scarf.
