Simple Luxury Shawl

A quick and easy project with a super delicate yarn combo;)

Yarn
Abuelita 3-ply 100 g
Pickles Silk Mohair 50 g (2 balls)

Needles
Long circular needles US 15

Gauge
10 s=4"

Knitted in garter stitch.

Cast om 3 stitches with one strand of each yarn (use double strands for the whole project).
Knit one row.
On next row: K until one stitch remains on the needle. Make one front. Knit last stitch.
Repeat this row until the shawl has the size you want.
We knitted until we almost ran out of yarn (about 67" wide, 24" height).
Last row: *K3, M1*
Repeat from * to *.
Cast off loosely.

Some colour combos.

Are there decreases to make a triangle?

Linda, as you start with 3 s, there is increases to make a triangle yes ;)

So cast on three and then increase one stitch every row until it is desired width. Then decrease every row until it is back to three stitches? Because if you are increasing every row I don't see how the last row can have only 3 stitches.

I think I just figured it out; this is knit side to side not across like the Sideways Shawl. I made the Sideways Shawl and I like it so much. So maybe that is why I got confused! Thank you for your help.

Hi, you are right about the first part (increases) but you don´t do any decreases for this pattern, just bind off when it is wide enough ;)

Hi, how is it possible to not decrease in this pattern and end up with 3 sts at the end and symmetrical 2 ends of the scarf?

Hi, we guess you could do that, but we haven´t tried it out.
