Walk in the park, hat and scarf

Et superenkelt sett med mest rette, og noen vrange masker. Lua er strikket med en teknikk som ser litt ut som patentstrikk, noe som gir en fin, baggy effekt. Absolutt å anbefale som tv-strikketøy!

Yarn

Pickles Cashmerino Silk, double strands, 400g

Needles
US 13 circular  needle
US 8 double pointed needles (+US 10)

Gauge
Scarf: 4” =15 m
Hat: 4”= 17 m
Scarf
Cast on 32 stitches on a US 13. Use double strands.
Knit back and forth until the scarf is approx. 118” long.
Cast off loosely.

Make long pom poms bu winding double strands around a book that is about 8”. Wind the yarn 8 times around the book. Take the yarn off the book and fold it in the middle, creating a loop. Pull the loop through one of the wholes between the stitches at the end of the scarf. Put the ends through the loop and pull.
Make 8 pom poms on each side.

Hat
Cast on 68 stitches on  a US 8. Use double strands.
Knit a rib, K1, P 1  in the round until you´ve reached 2”. Swap to a US 10 if you want a more baggy look or keep on using the US 8.
Repeat these two rounds throughout the piece:
Round 1: *K1, P3* Repeat from * to * throughout the round.
Round 2: K2 * P1, K3* Repeat from * to * until 2 stitches remain, P1, K1.

When the hat is about 10.5” you´ll cut the ends. Make sure the end is lang enough to assemble the rest of the stitches. Put a needles through the stitches and pull.

Yes, you can use regular needles. You will be knitting back and forth. Happy knitting!

I have been working on this hat, but unfortunately it is too small for my head :( How many additional stitches would I need to add to keep this same pattern?

Hi, you need a multiple of 4 stitches for this pattern :)

Hi! Very nice and easy project! I´m about to finish the hat and I´d like to use the same stitch for the scarf. How can I do it? I mean, I´m going to knit flat, not in the round and I suppose row 2 must be different. Can you tell me please what should I do? Thank you!!!

The pattern is like this: 1 moss stitch, 1 knit stitch, 1 moss stitch, 1 purl stitch. Seen from the right side.
