Winter turban

Finally a hat that is warm as well as feminine! This project is pretty easy as long as you get the hold of the brioche stitch. You make a scarf and shape it into a turban

Yarn
100 g Abuelita Merino Worsted

Needles
Circular needles US 9

Gauge
4" = about 10 stitches

TIP!
You can knit the brioche stitch in different ways. We do it this way, as it is easier on the shoulders. If you can´t figure it out, try looking up "brioche stitch" on youtube.com.

Cast on 19 stitches.
Knit one row.
Start the brioche stitch.

Row 1:
Slip 1. * Knit one into the row below, knit one*
Repeat from * to * throughout the row.

Row 2:
Slip one.
* Knit one, knit one into the row below.*
Repeat from * to * until two stitches remain. Knit 2.

Repeat the two rows until your scarf is about 40". Measure it on your head to make sure it fits.

Cast off. Now shape the turban. The easiest way it to shape it on your head in front of a mirror. Place the middle of the scarf on the back of your head, and move the ends towards the forehead. Twist the ends one time, and fold them backwards towards the edge of the turban in the back.

Now assemble the turban as neatly as you can.
