Zig-zag-spread
Nils´new bed is a hit. He´s so proud! I was somehow surprised that the bed spread was just as popular. He demands to sleep with it every night. The Zig-zag-spread is super light, very soft and the colours are cheerful - so no wonder the likes it, right? This projects is nice to have lying around to knit a few rows every night. The pattern is repetative, and if you´ve knitted before, you can easily watch TV or enjoy the ocean view while knitting it.
The bed is 27,5x47". The bed spread is extremely stretchy, and you can easily stretch it out to fit this bed. Because of the stretchieness as well as the softness of the yarn, this would also make a perfect baby blanket. Just knit it a bit shorter;) If you want it wider or narrower you can add or substract 16 stitches, or a number that can be divided by 16.
Yarn
6 balls Abuelita 3-ply merino
(You need a bit more than 200 g for the blanket, but if you want it as colourful as ours, you´ll need 6 skeins)
We´ve put together a limited number of yarn-kits for this project.
