@consutum is the woman with knitting needles quicker than Speezy Gonzalez and a knitted wardrobe like none other. We got cozy with Elisabet to get a sneak peak at her knitting history.

Tell us a little about yourself
My name is Elisabet and I live in Oslo. I love old things and distant cultures and have a masters degree in classical arceology. An education and a job that suited my hunger for knowledge and adventure, but one that became a little challenging when it came to having a roof over my head, bills and a yarn budget. So I’ve become a marketing manager in an ingeneering company, which is a good starting point for cultivating my love for adventure and for going crazy in yarn stores.

Where do you prefer to knit?
I think I carry my project bag around like it’s a first aid kit, haha. Always prepared to knit a round or two, whether it’s in a café, in the woods or on the train. But I’m most comfortable with my knitting when watching a great series or when I’m surrounded by good friends.

What’s the prettiest thing you’ve made in our yarn?
The Bell Cardi took my breath away when it was launched last year, I knit it in my favourite colour Silk brocade and have been hung up on Big Fuzz ever since. But, I think I might have just as big a crush on my Field of Flowers Cardigan. And my Lotus Yoga Scarf in cinnamon coloured Merino Bliss, since I’ll never have to borrow shabby fleece blankets for long-distance flights ever again. Let’s make it a top three?

What Pickles garment have you used the most and why?
That would have to be the PicklesXDagny dress in double strand of Pure Wool colourway Freshly ground + one strand of bronzy Slim Bling. The coffee coloured dress is a real energy boost, and has so far worked perfectly at Christmas parties, on blue mondays at the office and when I have to dress up when my body is screaming out for flannel PJs and woollen socks. It’s as nice matched with bare legs and summer shoes as with a thick pair of tights and winter boots!

What makes knitting so great?
For me knitting is a form of creative ebb and flow, to be able to mix colours, fibres and patterns. And I have to say that when words are not enough it is such a good thing to be able to give away something you’ve knitted yourself, whether it’s in a sad or happy situation. For 25 year old me (that mostly wore black/grey/blue clothes) it was a revelation to discover that I love to dress in colours. It’s just so seldom that quality, shape and colour (and ethics!) all fits in the clothing stores. #makeyourownfashion, absolutely!

Who would you like to get cozy with if you could?
My colour idol @stallevalle or super knitter @martekartong.
