What is Tjukk Merino Tweed?

Tjukk Merino Tweed er et mykt og fyldig merinogarn med små tweednupper som gir et levende og rustikt uttrykk. Garnet kombinerer den behagelige mykheten fra merinoull med den karakteren vi elsker i klassiske tweedgarn.

Tjukk Merino Tweed is a soft and lofty merino wool yarn with small tweed flecks that create a rich and lively appearance. It combines the comfort and softness of merino wool with the timeless character of traditional tweed yarns. It’s equally suited to sweaters, cardigans, hats, scarves and smaller accessories. The tweed flecks really shine in stockinette stitch, but the yarn also works beautifully in textured patterns, ribbing and simple cables.

What is the difference between Tjukk Merino and Tjukk Merino Tweed?

Both yarns share the same wonderful thickness and soft merino feel. The difference lies in the visual expression.

While Tjukk Merino creates a clean and even fabric, Tjukk Merino Tweed adds extra depth and character through its colourful tweed flecks. The result is a yarn that feels both contemporary and timeless.

Pair it with Silk Mohair or Soft Fuzz

Tjukk Merino Tweed is beautiful on its own, but it can also be combined with other Pickles yarns to create completely different looks.

Combined with Soft Fuzz, it produces a warmer, more matte and woolly texture that’s perfect for cosy winter garments.

Held together with Silk Mohair, it creates a luxurious, soft and airy fabric with added depth and a subtle halo.
