The Piknik Collection: Easy Knitting Patterns for Scarves, Pull-Through Scarves, and Shawls

Looking for an easy knitting pattern for a scarf or shawl? Then the Piknik Collection might be exactly what you’re looking for.

Following the popular launch of the Piknik Summer Scarf, we have now expanded the series with three new designs: Piknik Scarf, Piknik Pull-Through Scarf, and Piknik Shawl. Together, they form a small collection of feminine and versatile accessories that are quick to knit, easy to wear, and perfect for both beginners and experienced knitters.

All of the designs are knitted in Pickles Pure Wool and Silk Mohair, a combination that creates lightweight, airy pieces with beautiful texture and a soft glow.

What Is the Piknik Collection?

The Piknik Collection consists of three patterns:

  • Piknik Keyhole Scarf
  • Piknik Scarf
  • Piknik Shawl

All three designs are based on the same lace pattern and yarn combination, but offer different looks and uses.

The collection was created for knitters who enjoy small projects with a big impact—projects that knit up quickly and add a handmade touch to any outfit.

What Is the Difference Between the Piknik Keyhole Scarf, Piknik Scarf, and Piknik Shawl?

Piknik Keyhole Scarf

The keyhole scarf features a practical opening that keeps it securely in place without the need for tying. It creates an elegant look and works just as well over a shirt as it does under a jacket.

Piknik Scarf

The Piknik Scarf is a small neck scarf that ties around the neck. It’s perfect if you’re looking for a lightweight accessory that adds color, texture, and personality without feeling too warm or bulky.

Piknik Shawl

The Piknik Shawl is the largest design in the collection. It can be worn as a classic shawl draped over the shoulders or wrapped around the neck as a large scarf. It provides extra warmth while maintaining the light and airy feel that characterizes the entire collection.

What Yarn Is Used in the Piknik Collection?

All of the designs are knitted with Pickles Pure Wool and Silk Mohair held together.

Pickles Pure Wool provides structure, elasticity, and excellent stitch definition, while Silk Mohair adds softness, lightness, and a luxurious appearance.

Together, they create an airy fabric that beautifully highlights the lace pattern and makes the scarves and shawl comfortable to wear throughout much of the year.
