Bring-it-on-baby blanket
One of our favourite patterns. This blanket is easy to knit, colourful and super stretchy, making it suitable for wrapping the baby as well as using it as a bedspread later on:)
Yarn
Pickles Extra Fine Merino 50 g in 5 different colours
Needles
Circular needles US 10, 32"
Gauge
16 s = 4"
Measurements
27" wide, 35" long
Using needles a few sizes larger than US 10, cast on 110 stitches. We use the larger needles to cast on and off to make sure the edges are stretchy enough.
Use US 10 needles and knit 4 rows in garter stitch. Repeat the the following four rows:
Row 1: K2 together, K2 together, YO, K1, YO, K1, YO, KI, YO, K2 together, K2 together.
Row 2 - 4: Knit the garter stitch.
Repeat until the blanket is 35". Finish by knitting the garter stitch for four rows. On the fourth you´ll change to larger needles. Cast off.
