Thick mohair - an eternal favorite!

Mohair yarn. Pickles Big Fuzz is one of the yarns we use the most, and for good reason! The super-fuzzy yarn can be knitted on both thick and even thicker needles, producing light, airy yet warm and soft garments that stay beautiful year after year. We knit it alone on everything from 5 mm to 12 mm needles.   The yarn is spun from mohair, mixed with a little wool to create extra resilience and volume. Since the mohair fibers are short, the whole thing is spun around a nylon thread that holds it together. The garments you knit in Pickles Big Fuzz will stay beautiful year after year and won't shed or lint. They will also keep their shape even if you knit with thick needles.   78% mohair, 15% wool, 7% nylon | 50 g balls | 100 meters | Knit on 6-10 mm needles | Gauge per 10 cm: 8-16 stitches / 12-20 rows | Hand wash  

Knitting Patterns and Yarn Kits

Pickles Big Fuzz is well suited to thick mohair patterns knitted on needles from 6 mm - 12 mm and can be combined with other yarn types for double thread for even chunkier knits. The palette of fresh colors and pastels makes it easy to combine in stripes or pattern knits. If you are unsure whether Pickles Big Fuzz is suitable for the project you are knitting, you can send us an email or a message on instagramand we will help you further!   Here you will find all our knitting patterns and yarn kits made in the yarn.   We recommend hand washing in lukewarm/cold water, but you can centrifuge the garment (make sure you don't set the rinse program, only the centrifuge) to get the most out of the water. Then lay the garment straight on the floor and stretch/block it into the shape you want. The garment will dry in a few hours.
