Pickles Tjukk (Worsted) Merino

Our very softest merino!

Merino wool. Pickles Thick Merino is lightly spun from a single strand of merino wool. This gives the yarn a chunky, lovely appearance, with defined stitches perfect for textured knits. The garments you knit will be exceptionally soft and, with a little care, will last for many years. Since merino fibers are thin and soft, the garments may shed some fibers. Any lint is easily removed with your fingers and the garment is as good as new. The yarn is perfect from Needles 4 mm to 6 mm with a single strand, or up to 9 mm with a stranded yarn. It's fantastic to knit with and glides over the needles like a dream.   Tjukk Merino: 100% merino wool from Peru | Tjukk Merino Tweed: 85% Merino 10,5% Wool 4,5% Viscose | 100 g hesper (must be cast on) | 200 m | Worked on Needles 4,5 - 5,5 | Gauge per 10 cm = 16 - 24 stitches | Hand wash  

Knitting Patterns and Yarn Kits

Needles Thick Merino is suitable for patterns knitted on needles from 4 mm - 6 mm. Depending on what kind of fabric you want to achieve. We have a nice palette with a selection of fresh colors, dusty colors and mottled natural colors. If you are unsure whether Pickles Thick Merino is suitable for the project you are knitting, you can send us an email or a message on instagramand we will help you further!   Here you will find all our knitting patterns and yarn kits made in the yarn.   We recommend hand washing in lukewarm/cold water, but you can centrifuge the garment (make sure you don't set the rinse program, only the centrifuge) to get the most out of the water. Then lay the garment straight on the floor and stretch/block it into the shape you want. The garment will dry in a few hours.
